Managing Partner in Early Stage, Real Estate Private Equity Firm

We are currently looking for an operations-oriented Managing Partner who can get in on the ground floor and be part of the leadership team.
The Managing Partner will help build deal flow, lead acquisition efforts, manage construction and oversee property management operations. This position will also be responsible helping design the strategic vision for the firm. This ideal candidate is self-driven, has an entrepreneurial background, has practical experience in real estate operations and sets ambitious career goals.

Responsibilities:
• Execute the strategic vision for the operation; oversees activities; manages, trains, and coaches the team; prospects, interviews, and strategically hires new employees; drives team toward profitability targets.
• Build relationships with wholesalers and brokers to strengthen deal flow.
• Evaluate alternative acquisition strategies to lower acquisition costs (i.e., direct marketing to homeowner)
• Oversee construction material procurement and inventory management.
• Review turn bids and purchase orders to minimize turn costs; maximize efficiency of turn cycle.
• Continuously assess assets in portfolio for quality, marketability, performance and fit and makes recommendations on acquisitions and dispositions of assets to increase overall performance of the portfolio.
• Maximize use of existing digital technologies to make operations more efficient.
• Reviews activity reports, budgets, and tracking progress toward occupancy, pricing and operating revenue and expense goals and objectives; takes corrective actions.
Requirements:
• Entrepreneurial background, self-motivated. Shares founder’s vision. Team player.
• Based in Houston.
• Experience in a general management role with full P&L responsibility, managing direct reports.
• Minimum 10 years of directly related progressively responsible experience in an operational or related role required. It is preferred if the experience is the following areas/industries:
- Property Operations
- Real Estate
- Property Management.
• Strong leadership, employee development, relationship management, and negotiation skills.
• Must be able to develop cross functional relationships.

Compensation: Cash salary plus equity
